The Role
Are you a resilient and experienced Social Worker looking for a stable contract in the North East? Gateshead Council is currently seeking dedicated practitioners to join their Long Term Front Line Team.
This role is designed for those who thrive in relationship-based practice. You will be managing a complex caseload, transitioning children from initial assessment through to long-term planning, ensuring continuity of care and robust safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities
Managing a diverse caseload including Child Protection (CP) and Children in Need (CIN).
Conducting comprehensive assessments and implementing long-term care plans.
Representing the Authority in court proceedings and pre-proceedings (PLO).
Working collaboratively within a multi-agency framework to ensure the best outcomes for children and families in Gateshead.

The Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience in a Front Line or Long Term setting.
Registration: Active Social Work England registration.

Mobility: Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
