Job Title: Social Worker - Children in Care Team (Permanent)
Middlesbrough Council are seeking a dedicated and resilient Social Worker to join their Children in Care (Children Looked After) team. In this pivotal role, you'll act as a corporate parent, ensuring the safety, well-being, and permanence of children and young people in our care. You will manage a diverse caseload and work with children and their networks to provide stable, nurturing environments and support their journey through care.

Salary: £45,416 per annum (including a market supplement)
Relocation Package: Up to £8,000
Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of children in care, focusing on achieving permanence through reunification, long-term foster care, or adoption.
Conduct statutory home visits and attend statutory reviews to monitor the child's progress.
Prepare high-quality reports and documentation for reviews and court proceedings.
Work collaboratively with foster carers, residential staff, health professionals, schools, and families to create holistic care plans.
Undertake direct work with children to ensure their voices and lived experiences are heard and considered in all decisions.
Support children and young people through key transitions, including reunification plans and leaving care.
