Randstad are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Renfrewshire Council's Children and Families Service. This is a full time role offering a fantastic competitive pay rate.

Responsibilities:
- Conducting urgent inquiries when a child is at risk of harm.
- Using the GIRFEC National Practice Model to assess the wellbeing, needs, and risks of children and their families.
- Implementing immediate care plans to stabilise families in crisis.
- Working with partners like Barnardo's to divert families toward voluntary community support when statutory intervention isn't required.
- Regularly reviewing and progressing "Child's Plans" to ensure outcomes are being met.
- Assessing and supporting extended family members (grandparents, aunts, etc.) to prevent children from entering the foster care system.
- When a child cannot return home, social workers secure long-term stable environments through adoption or permanent foster care.
- Delivering purposeful, time-limited therapeutic interventions aimed at improving parenting capacity and family resilience.
- Preparing reports for the Scottish Children's Reporter Administration (SCRA) and attending Hearings to advocate for the child's best interests.
- Managing Compulsory Supervision Orders (CSOs) and Child Protection Orders (CPOs) where a sheriff's intervention is required.
- Acting as the "Lead Professional" to coordinate inputs from health, education, and police.
Requirements:
- PVG
- SSSC registration
- Social Work Degree
