The role will guarantee a minimum of 3 months work and a competitive rate of up to £35 per hour.
Job Requirements:
- Social work degree or equivalent qualification
- Member of the PVG scheme
- Member of Scotland Social Services Council (SSSC)
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently
- Proven experience in fostering, looked-after children, or children's social care.
- Strong assessment, communication, and organisational skills.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support and supervise foster carers to provide safe, nurturing homes for children and young people
- Undertake assessments (Form F) and contribute to fostering panel recommendations
- Lead on placements, reviews, and permanency planning in line with best practice and statutory requirements.
- Work closely with children, carers, families, schools, and other professionals to build strong support networks
- Maintain clear, timely, and accurate records and reports.
- Participate in out-of-hours duty rota as required
