RoleRole & Responsibilities
You will be a vital part of a team dedicated to supporting children and families within the fostering system. You will work closely with foster carers, social workers and other professionals to provide a safe, nurturing and supportive environment. This involves regular visits, assessments and helping build strong relationships.
Main tasks include
- Conducting thorough assessments of children's needs and creating care plans.
- Building strong relationships with foster carers and providing ongoing support.
- Working collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
- Maintaining accurate records and complying with relevant regulations.
- Advocating for the rights and needs of children in care.
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
- Significant experience working with children and families in a social work capacity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Experience with fostering or adoption is desirable but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of child protection.
- Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
