About School :
We are a school for children with severe learning difficulties aged 3-19. The specific needs of each young person is at the heart of everything we do. We have a highly personalised approach, which we call My Curriculum. The 4 aspects are: My Body, My Communication, My Thinking and My Wellbeing. We empower learners to express themselves, to have a sense of fun, curiosity, adventure, achievement and to form safe, fulfilling relationships.

Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs across the classroom and in small groups
- Assist the class teacher in adapting learning activities to meet individual needs
- Promote independence and build students' confidence and self-esteem
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment
- Monitor and record student progress in collaboration with teachers and SENCO
- Support with personal care where required
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD)
- Child DBS on update service.
- A calm, compassionate, and resilient attitude
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
