About School :
The school is a community special school for ages 3-19, serving students with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), often alongside ASD, sensory impairments, or complex medical needs. All pupils have an EHCP or statement for SEN support.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalised, adaptive teaching plans in line with students' EHCPs
- Support and engage learners with a range of complex needs
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Liaise with families, support staff, and external agencies
- Track progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Encourage social skills, self-regulation, and independence
What We're Looking For:
- Holds QTS and has experience in SEN or inclusive education
- Child DBS on update service.
- Has a positive, proactive attitude and strong classroom management skills
- Can build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
- Has knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
