Primary Responsibilities
... - Design and execute dynamic lessons that are carefully tailored to align with the specific learning objectives (IEP goals) of SEN learners, encompassing spoken language, reading, and composition.
- Evaluate student's language and literacy development via both structured and informal assessments, using the resulting data to continually adjust teaching methods and resources.
- Simplify intricate materials and literature to guarantee all pupils can fully access the curriculum, ensuring the content is stimulating and pertinent.
- Work closely with classroom support staff, families, and therapeutic experts to ensure consistent and all-encompassing assistance for the students.
- Cultivate an encouraging, motivated, and well-managed learning environment, expertly applying behaviour strategies to facilitate concentrated and efficient learning for everyone.
Essential Attributes
- Mandatory Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Extensive, demonstrable background teaching the national curriculum to students with diverse SEN profiles in British schools.
- Possession of a current Enhanced DBS check or the readiness to acquire one swiftly.
- Deep, operational understanding of proven SEN approaches, including strategies for literacy support and communication technology.
- Outstanding reserves of patience, creativity, strong command of behaviour management, and authoritative classroom presence.
