SEN Science Teacher

Are you an educator with a knack for adapting science lessons for diverse learners? If you believe in making STEM exciting and inclusive, this SEN Science Teacher role in Knowsley could be the perfect fit. This is a long-term, full-time position starting in September. We're seeking a confident, knowledgeable Science Teacher to teach pupils with special educational needs, including Autism, SLD, and other complex profiles. You'll adapt content to meet the needs of each learner and bring science to life in creative, supportive ways.

Responsibilities
Tailor science instruction for varying levels of ability
Use practical experiments and visual tools to reinforce learning
Integrate EHCP targets into daily teaching
Promote well-being and self-confidence through positive reinforcement
Support students pastorally and academically
Adapting curriculum content to meet individual student needs
Using practical experiments and visual aids to enhance learning
Integrating EHCP targets into daily teaching and assessment
Providing pastoral and academic support to students
Collaborating with other teachers and support staff
Strong classroom and behavior management skills
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in science education and a proven track record of working with students with special educational needs. Ideal candidates are passionate about creating inclusive learning environments and fostering a love of STEM subjects.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Right to work in the UK
Valid Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply
Proven experience teaching SEN students in UK schools
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Relevant science degree
