Job Focus: Critical Need for an SEN Classroom Paraprofessional
Randstad Education is actively searching for a high-calibre, intuitive, and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant for a distinguished educational setting in Liverpool. Key Responsibilities
- Provide essential direct support, both one-on-one and in small configurations, to students with a spectrum of special educational needs.
- Work collaboratively with the main class educator to effectively execute and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Help cultivate and sustain a positive, structured, and fully inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Assist in preparing teaching resources and meticulously track and report on student progress and developmental milestones.
- Act as a critical guiding figure, assisting students in navigating towards and achieving their academic and personal objectives.
Requirements
- A mandatory minimum of six months of previous experience operating as an SEN Teaching Assistant or similar support role within a UK school system.
- Display a resilient, immensely patient, and proactive approach to engaging with and supporting learners who have SEN.
- Possess exemplary communication skills, proven capability in team collaboration, and robust organisational abilities.
- Must hold an active Enhanced DBS check, or be willing to submit an application for one without delay.
- Practical familiarity with various complex SEN categories (e.g., ASD, SEMH, MLD) is highly advantageous.
