The Role: Expert Support for Complex Needs
This specialist school supports learners from age 6 years with complex and severe SEN needs, including SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) and non-verbal communication challenges. They are celebrated for their truly inclusive community, one that appreciates differences and celebrates individual strengths. Their commitment to high standards for behaviour and conduct has earned them an OFSTED 'Outstanding' grade for behaviour and safety.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across multiple subjects.
Work with children and young people who may present with challenging behaviours associated with their diagnosis or have multiple learning difficulties.
Assist in the delivery of engaging and interactive lessons and learning activities.
Communicate with teachers over pupils' progress and participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole-school training events.
This is a full-time, permanent role (40 hours a week), term-time only.
