Randtstad C&P are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrician to join our clients Facilities Management team. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems across their facilities through planned and responsive maintenance. Your duties will encompass a broad range of electrical tasks, contributing to a high standard of compliance and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on electrical installations and systems.
- Carry out general and clean room lighting maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain and test emergency lighting and fire alarm systems.
- Execute minor new electrical works and testing as required.
- Conduct electrical repairs and isolation's safely and effectively.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot a variety of electrical issues.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high quality standard and in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Utilise CMMS to log work, track progress, and access information.
- Work collaboratively as part of a proactive team and demonstrate self-motivation in completing assigned tasks.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors regarding work progress and any issues encountered.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
- Must hold a current 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification.
- NVQ level 3 qualified
- 2391 Test & Inspect qualified.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a qualified electrician.
Preferred:
- 2 years of electrical experience.
- Driving Licence.
- Fire alarm systems experience.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong understanding of electrical principles and safe working practices.
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving.
- Good communication and literacy skills.
- Experience using CMMS systems for work management.
- Self-motivated and able to manage workload effectively.
