We currently have a temporary Stores operative role available with DS Smith. This role is ideal for someone with previous admin and data entry experience
Role: Stores Operative
Shifts: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm or 8am-4pm
Pay: £14ph per hour
Duration: 6 months
Location: DS Smith Packaging, South Mills, The Ridgeway, Blunham, Bedford MK44 3PH
100% site based
Main tasks include
- Monitoring stock levels, ensuring that material is available as required to meet production plans
- Goods in, goods out
- Booking and processing deliveries
- Cooperate with purchasing and planning team to ensure materials are available
- Reorder materials and consumables to avoid shortages
- Stock Control: Investigate discrepancies between physical and system stock
- Ensure items are properly labelled and stored promptly
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods and materials against delivery notes
- Loading & unloading deliveries with FLT
Requirements
- Excellent IT skills and proficient in the use of Google suite & Microsoft Office suite
- FLT Counterbalance licence
- Flexible and adaptable attitude with ability to prioritise a range of different tasks.
- Exceptional communication skills, at all levels, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with other members of staff at all levels of the organisation.
- Confident, enthusiastic and tenacious
