Supply Chain Planner
The Role
We are looking for a proactive Supply Chain Planner to join our client's team in Leeds. This role is a 12-month assignment covering a leave of absence, focusing on managing a complex range of global suppliers and ensuring seamless operational flow within our client's supply chain.

Location: Leeds (Hybrid - Minimum 3 days onsite)
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £21 - £23 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Management: Actively manage performance for global suppliers, handling escalations and driving continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.
Inventory & Demand: Monitor and manage inventory levels and supply/demand trends to meet customer service targets.
Operational Excellence: Lead daily planning processes and use Six Sigma methodologies to implement short-term tactical improvements.
Risk Mitigation: Identify and eliminate supply chain bottlenecks, championing preventive practices to minimize the need for expedited shipping.
Collaboration: Partner with data teams to optimize planning parameters and track inbound materials.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Background: Ideally a degree (B.S. or B.A.) or equivalent professional experience in Supply Chain/Planning.
Technical Knowledge: An understanding of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), network exception management, and inbound materials tracking.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret data and identify key influencing parameters for supply chain optimization.
Communication: Proven experience in supplier performance management and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement: Experience delivering results through tactical improvements and a solution-oriented mindset.
