Responsibilities:
- Support clients with daily activities, hobbies, and community integration.
- Provide respectful and dignified personal care, including assistance with toileting.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans.
- Foster a safe, positive, and empowering environment for all clients.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential client records.
- Deliver hygiene, dressing, and nutritional support while maintaining resident dignity.
- Perform safe manual handling and medication administration per CQC protocols.
- Document daily progress and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and families.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with adults with autism and learning disabilities is desirable.
- Knowledge of care planning systems and keyworking principles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong teamwork abilities and the capacity to use your own initiative.
- Good IT skills for documentation and record-keeping.
- A full, clean driving licence and access to a car.
- Familiarity with supporting adults with learning disabilities, ASD, or complex needs.
- Understanding of safeguarding, "Person-Centered" care, and health and safety regulations.
- Ability to utilise adaptive communication methods (verbal and non-verbal).
- Skill in identifying triggers and maintaining a calm, therapeutic environment.
Personal Attributes:
- Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
- Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style.
- Have experience with SEND or knowledge learning difficulties.
- A professional and collaborative team member.
- Remains calm and effective during high-pressure or challenging behavioural moments.
