About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Engineering to join a specialist secondary setting in Leeds on a full-time maternity cover basis, starting September 2025. Essential Requirements
... - QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Experience teaching KS4 and/or KS5 Engineering (GCSE, BTEC, or equivalent)
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Engineering lessons to KS4 and KS5 students
- Teach across a range of Engineering topics (mechanical, electrical, systems)
- Maintain and manage a safe and efficient workshop environment
- Support student progression towards apprenticeships or further study
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with course specifications
- Contribute to the development and review of the Engineering curriculum
- Provide targeted intervention and support where necessary
- Differentiate lessons to cater to a variety of learning needs
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements
- Prepare students for external examinations and assessments
