The Role
Location: Rainham, Essex
Salary: Competitive (commensurate with experience and aligned with the current Pay and Conditions Documents)
Reporting to: Head of Department
Key Responsibilities
Plan and Deliver: Create consistent, effective learning plans that meet the unique needs of all pupils.
Engage and Challenge: Use diverse methods and resources to interest and engage students, providing appropriate levels of challenge.
Monitor Progress: Use assessment information to plan next steps and provide constructive feedback to students.
Environment: Maintain a well-organized, stimulating, and safe learning environment with high standards of behavior.
Collaboration: Participate in the department's extra-curricular programs and contribute actively to academy policies.
Person Specification
We are looking for an individual who meets the following essential criteria:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English.
Proven experience teaching across both Key Stages (11-16 school setting).
Strong subject knowledge and an understanding of the National Curriculum.
A commitment to safeguarding, equality of opportunity, and continuous professional development.
The ability to communicate effectively with parents and carers to encourage active participation in the educational process.
