Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent UK teaching qualification.
- A clear and up-to-date Enhanced DBS check.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An up-to-date understanding of examination board specifications for GCSE and A-Level English.

- A deep and confident knowledge of a broad range of literary texts and genres.
- Strong analytical skills to help students deconstruct complex texts and arguments.

Responsibilities:
- To teach inspiring and challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- To prepare students thoroughly for public examinations, including GCSE and A-Level.
- To create and maintain a stimulating and well-ordered classroom environment.
- To assess and record student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
- To contribute to the development of departmental resources and schemes of work.
- To build strong, positive relationships with students, promoting their personal and academic growth.
- To actively participate in the school's performance management and professional development programmes.
- To attend and contribute to department meetings and school events.
- To monitor and address student behaviour, ensuring a safe and productive learning space.
- To collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality educational experience for all students.
