We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Teacher of IT and Computing to join a thriving, innovative department in a high-achieving secondary school in Leeds. This full-time role starts in September 2025 and will involve teaching a mix of KS4 and KS5 students. Essential Requirements
... - QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Strong subject knowledge of national curriculum, assessment, and computing pedagogy
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

- Strong knowledge of programming languages
- Expertise in computer systems, networks, and cyber security
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Adaptability and creativity in lesson planning
- Collaborative approach to working within a team
- Confidence using EdTech tools and virtual learning platforms
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver outstanding Computing and IT lessons across KS4 and KS5
- Prepare students for internal and external exams with structured support
- Create engaging learning resources using a variety of digital tools
- Foster a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
- Deliver differentiated lessons to cater to a range of student abilities
- Monitor, track and report on student progress and attainment
- Contribute to curriculum development and resource sharing
- Promote digital literacy across the wider school community
- Deliver extra-curricular clubs such as coding, gaming or robotics
- Support the Head of Department in raising standards and innovation
