Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and comprehensive Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to a diverse range of learning needs.
- Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour, creating a safe and conducive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess students progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students. - Formative assessment: Regularly assess student learning through various methods to identify areas where students need support. - Summative assessment: Evaluate student understanding through tests, projects, and other assessments to measure their overall progress. - Provide tailored support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with special educational needs. - Communicate regularly with parents to discuss student progress and provide updates on their child's learning. - Collaborate with colleagues, including other maths teachers, administrators, and support staff, to improve teaching and learning.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current on new research and best practices.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Eligibility to work in the UK
