About the Role
This is a full-time position available to start this January. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and dedicated Science Teacher responsible for delivering high-quality teaching of GCSE Science and Applied Science at Key Stage 4 (KS4) to learners aged 14-16. This role requires the post-holder to actively contribute to an environment where young people feel safe, included, and empowered to succeed. A core focus is on positive relationship building and providing a supportive, adaptive educational experience tailored to individual learner needs, particularly those who benefit from an alternative, more vocational environment.

Requirements:
... - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Familiar with delivering a vocational-style curriculum like Applied Science at KS4
- Eligibility to work in the UK.

Core Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality science lessons for GCSE and Applied Science.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Create a stimulating and safe learning environment.
- Participate in departmental and school-wide meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain effective discipline and a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Communicate with parents and guardians about student progress.
- Contribute to the school's extra-curricular activities and school events.
- Uphold the school's values and ethos.
- Undertake pastoral duties and support student well-being.
- Manage classroom resources and equipment effectively.
