Primary Teaching Assistant
We are recruiting for a temporary Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team. This rewarding role is focused on supporting the class teacher and fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for KS1 and KS2 pupils. You will be instrumental in providing targeted, one-to-one and small group support in core subjects, particularly literacy and numeracy.
The job involves a wide variety of responsibilities, including:
Assisting with the preparation of classroom resources and displays.
Helping to manage classroom behaviour and promote good conduct.
Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) to ensure they can access learning activities.
Listening to children read and helping them develop their reading skills.
Providing pastoral care and emotional support to pupils.
Working collaboratively with teachers and other staff to support the overall aims of the school.
Supervising children during break times, lunchtime, and on school trips.
