This is an opportunity to be a powerful, positive influence in a student's day. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide vital, practical help, supporting teachers to deliver quality, engaging education. You will focus on creating a supportive, high-energy environment where every child feels capable and confident in their learning journey.
Main Duties:
- Help the main teacher in the delivery of daily lessons, manage classroom activities and transitions.
- Support small groups of students with foundational skills like reading, writing, and numeracy.
- Assist in getting the classroom ready, such as preparing materials or creating stimulating displays.
- Listen to children read and help them practise key skills for confidence building.
- Support positive behaviour management and encourage good conduct in the classroom.
- Supervise students during non-class times, such as breaks, lunch, or organised school activities.
- Clearly communicate any significant observations regarding student well-being or learning gaps to the class teacher.
