The Role: Teaching Assistant (Mainstream Secondary)
We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a highly respected secondary school in Leeds. This is a full-time position, starting as soon as possible. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students across a range of subjects. You will work closely with class teachers to provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, helping to remove barriers to learning and foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Requirements
- Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a secondary school setting.
- A strong understanding of child development and learning processes.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness to apply for one)

Key Responsibilities
- Providing in-class support to individuals and small groups of students.
- Assisting with the preparation of learning resources and classroom displays.
- Helping to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Working with the teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback.
- Supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Assisting with the supervision of students during break times and lunch.
- Liaising with parents and other professionals as required.
- Providing pastoral support and guidance to students.
- Delivering targeted interventions to help students with specific learning goals.
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and behaviour.
