Your Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant
- Collaborate with children individually or in small groups to enhance reading, writing, and numeracy skills.
- Provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs or SEN.
- Assist the class teacher with resource preparation, activity setups, and classroom organisation.
- Serve as an encouraging role model, fostering self-esteem and positive behavior.
- Help oversee break times, group interventions, and school activities.
- Provide constructive feedback to the class teacher regarding student engagement and progress.
Essential Requirements
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or relevant classroom experience).
- Experience working with primary-aged children.
- Strong classroom management skills with confidence handling diverse pupil needs.
- Proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning.
- An Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
