Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a crucial part in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for our students. You'll work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance, helping students achieve their educational goals.
Key Activities Include:
Assisting teachers with classroom management and instruction.
Providing individual and small group support to students.
Implementing behaviour support plans effectively.
Participating actively in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Maintaining accurate records of student progress.
Building positive and trusting relationships with students and their families.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and possess the following:
Experience:
Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable, especially those with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Experience in a trauma-informed setting is a significant advantage, but not essential.
A demonstrable ability to build rapport with students and work effectively as part of a team is essential.
Skills & Requirements:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience and empathy.
Ability to work effectively under pressure.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
A good understanding of child development and learning.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience) are preferred, but not mandatory. We value experience and commitment above all else.
