Teaching Assistant - Cranleigh
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Cranleigh. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with teachers and pupils, providing essential classroom support and helping students thrive both academically and socially.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting learning activities, working with pupils with Special Educational Needs, and contributing to a structured and positive school environment. Key Responsibilities:
Provide targeted support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions
Assist teaching staff with lesson delivery and classroom management
Support pupils during break times, trips, and extracurricular activities
Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Skills and Experience:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patient, caring, and positive approach
Previous experience working with children in a school setting
Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable
Valid DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
