The Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students' learning and well-being. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to students in the classroom and during activities.
- Assisting teachers in delivering a broad, personalised curriculum.
- Supporting students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Helping to manage classroom behaviour effectively and promoting positive interactions.
- Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ideally in a school setting.
- A genuine understanding and empathy for students with autism spectrum conditions, moderate learning difficulties, or specific learning difficulties.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team.
- Understanding of safeguarding principles.
