About the Role
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will provide crucial support to our teaching staff and pupils. You will assist in delivering a highly personalised curriculum, helping to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment. Your experience in working with students with special educational needs is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
Support pupils with complex and severe learning needs (ages 4-19) on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons.
Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
Provide personal care and support where needed.
Contribute to the well-being and development of our pupils.
Qualifications and Skills
Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (SEN) is essential.
Knowledge of various special educational needs is highly desirable.
A caring, patient, and empathetic approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
