Roles type: Flexible options (Full-time, Part-time, day to day or Long-term cover).
Duties:
- Deliver 1:1 or small group support to help students master difficult subjects.
- Assist the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour and keeping students on task.
- Adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students .
- Supervise students during practical lessons and experiments to ensure safety.
- Keep a close eye on student progress and provide simple, encouraging feedback.
- Prepare the classroom environment and resources before each lesson begins.
- Act as a reliable mentor and positive role model for teenagers.
- Support the school's pastoral team in ensuring student well being and safety.
What You Need:
- A resilient personality and the ability to build quick rapport with local teenagers.
- Previous experience in a school, youth club, or community setting is a big plus.
- A professional approach and the ability to follow school policies and procedures.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check (or the willingness to apply for one).
