As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for taking care of the children's needs and supporting them, as well as assisting the teachers with their day to day work. It is a beneficial role where, ideally, qualifications are preferred but not mandatory. They are looking for someone who has previous experience working with children, relevant skills, and a desire to work on their learning progress.
RESPONSIBILITIES AS A TEACHING ASSISTANT:
- Managing behaviour and supporting the class teacher
- Working with small groups and 1:1
- Using creativity and innovation to improve all children's learning experiences
- Safeguarding children
- Communicating with parents and carers over pupils' progress
REQUIREMENTS FROM THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- An Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get a new one.
- Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role).
- Previous experience in schools is preferred.
- Two most recent professional recommendations. (This is essential)
- Adapt to the demands of the students in a professional and courteous manner.
