Your Role (Responsibilities)

• Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) national curriculum.

• Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning, providing targeted support in literacy and numeracy (including phonics and guided reading).

• Assist in preparing the classroom environment, setting up displays and learning resources.

• Help manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

• Observe, monitor, and record pupil progress, providing valuable feedback to the teacher.

• Supervise students during non-classroom time (e.g., break times, lunchtimes) to ensure their safety and well-being.

• Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), working closely with the SENCO to implement individual support plans (EHCPs).

• Contribute to a positive, stimulating, and supportive learning environment for all students.

What We Are Looking For (Qualifications)

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who:

• Has a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

• Is patient, adaptable, and has a consistently positive attitude.

• Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with children, staff, and parents.

• Can work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate initiative when required.

• Is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

• (Desirable) Has previous experience working with children in a primary school setting.

• (Desirable) Holds a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) or a degree in a related field.

• Must hold or be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
