Key Responsibilities:
Direct Student Support: Work closely with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning concepts, provide targeted support, and assist students with special educational needs (SEN).
Classroom Operations: Assist the class teacher in preparing learning resources, setting up classroom activities, and maintaining a tidy and safe learning environment.
Curriculum & Lesson Support: Actively participate in the planning and delivery of lessons, helping to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Behaviour Management: Implement the school's behaviour management strategies consistently to ensure a positive and productive classroom atmosphere.
Student Engagement: Foster a love for learning by creating a positive, encouraging, and engaging atmosphere for all students.
Administrative Tasks: Support the teacher with marking work, recording student progress, and maintaining accurate records.
Parent & Teacher Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the class teacher and collaborate with parents to support student development.
Requirements for This Teaching Assistant Role
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have:
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience working with children in an educational setting (e.g., as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or in a nursery/school environment).
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong classroom management abilities.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's education.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is preferred. However, significant relevant experience will be strongly considered.
Knowledge:
A solid understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures is essential.
Proficiency in using educational resources and classroom technology.
