Specialist Teaching Assistant
Location: Near Cranleigh, Surrey

About the Role:
You will be an integral part of our educational support team, working with children and young people who have a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN). Your role will involve providing one-to-one and small group support, assisting teachers in the classroom, and helping to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment. We are committed to fostering independence, promoting personal growth, and ensuring every student reaches their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing tailored support to students with diverse SEN, including but not limited to autism spectrum conditions, learning disabilities, and communication difficulties.
- Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
- Supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals.
- Helping to manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe learning environment.
- Contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture.
About You:
- Essential: Significant experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an educational setting.
- Essential: A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required due to our location and the need for potential off-site activities.
- Possess a genuine passion for supporting the development of young people with SEN.
- Be patient, resilient, adaptable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be proactive, resourceful, and committed to continuous professional development.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are desirable.
