Role & Responsibilities
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students, providing individual and group support tailored to their specific needs. You will assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons, creating a positive learning environment, and celebrating student successes. You will be a key member of the team, contributing to the overall well-being and academic progress of the students.
Main tasks include
- Assisting teachers in planning and delivering lessons
- Providing individual and group support to students with SEN
- Creating and implementing engaging learning activities
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback
- Building positive relationships with students and their families
- Contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Proven experience supporting young people with SEN
- Experience working in a school setting (desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Commitment to inclusive education
- A valid driving license and access to your own vehicle
- Enhanced DBS check (will be processed upon offer)
- Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures
- Passion for making a difference in the lives of young people
