We are seeking passionate, dedicated, and resilient Teaching Assistants to join our specialist team.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant in our school, you will be instrumental in the delivery of a highly individualised curriculum, focused on positive outcomes for our pupils.
Key responsibilities include:
Working closely with class teachers, therapists, and senior staff to implement individualised education programmes (IEPs).
Providing dedicated 1:1 and small group support to autistic pupils, helping them to acquire new skills and generalise learning across different environments.
Assisting in the collection of data and monitoring of pupil progress, which is central to our evidence-based, behavioural approach (using the CABAS model).
Supporting the emotional, social, and functional development of pupils, ensuring their overall well-being and safety.
Helping to maintain a structured, calm, and positive learning environment.
What We Are Looking For
A passion for working with autistic children and young people.
A resilient, patient, and highly motivated attitude, with a proactive approach to learning new skills and strategies.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience in a special educational needs (SEN) setting is desirable, but full specialist training in our established methodologies will be provided for successful candidates.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
