What we're looking for:
At least 6 months of experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
A positive and proactive approach to supporting students, including those who may exhibit challenging behaviours. Your calm demeanour and ability to build rapport will be key.
A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle due to the rural locaion of the school
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support the development and well-being of young people.
In this role, you will:
Provide direct support to students in the classroom and during various activities, both academic and recreational.
Assist teachers in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Help to manage and de-escalate challenging situations with a calm and consistent approach.
Contribute to the individual progress and well-being of our students.
Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
