We are recruiting Secondary School Teaching Assistants for September roles in welcoming, well-resourced schools across the L9 area of Liverpool.
Whether you're experienced or looking to build your skills in a new environment, this is a great opportunity to join a supportive team and make a lasting difference in pupils' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students aged 11-16 across a range of subjects and abilities.
- Providing 1:1 or small group support to students who may require additional help with learning or behaviour.
- Assisting teachers in delivering lessons and managing the classroom.
- Working closely with SENCOs and other professionals to support students with EHCPs or additional needs.
- Monitoring and encouraging pupil progress, confidence and engagement.
- Promoting good behaviour and safeguarding student well being.
- Helping prepare classroom resources and maintaining a positive learning environment.
You Must Have:
- Experience working with secondary-aged students (school, tutoring, mentoring, youth work etc.)
- A calm, confident approach and ability to build rapport with young people.
- Understanding of the secondary curriculum and the challenges students may face.
- Patience, adaptability and a genuine interest in supporting teenagers.
- A valid Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
- Ability to provide 2 references covering last year.
- UK right to work and good spoken and written English.
