Role: Teaching Assistant
Pay: £13.68 - £14.00 per hour
Locations: Crosby | Bootle | Maghull | Southport
Start Date: September 2025
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 or KS3/4 depending on placement.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons.
- Support children with additional needs, including pupils with EHCPs.
- Foster a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Help with classroom management, preparing resources, and general admin tasks.
- Promote good behaviour and help maintain high expectations.
- Offer pastoral support and encourage pupil development.
- Contribute to school life, attending meetings, reviews, and training when required.
What You Need to Bring:
- Experience working with children (in school, nursery, tutoring, youth work etc.)
- A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred, but not essential for some roles).
- A positive, proactive attitude and passion for education.
- Excellent communication and team working skills.
- A valid Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service - or willingness to apply.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- 2 professional references covering the last 2 years.
