Roles and Responsibilities:
- Personalised Support: Provide tailored assistance to students with SEN, including those with ASD, ADHD, and SEND, to help them thrive academically and socially.
- Mentorship: Serve as a supportive mentor, fostering confidence and independence in students while maintaining confidentiality.
- Engaging Instruction: Develop and deliver engaging learning activities designed to meet the diverse needs of SEN students, making learning enjoyable and accessible.
- Goal-Oriented Assistance: Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement strategies that support students in achieving their individual goals.
- Commitment: Demonstrate dedication and flexibility, going above and beyond to ensure the success and well-being of our students.
Requirements:
- Passion for Education: Bring genuine enthusiasm for working with children and a desire to make a positive impact in their lives.
- Qualifications: Hold an NVQ2/NVQ3 qualification or equivalent, with a focus on supporting students with SEN.
- Experience: Previous experience as a teaching/learning assistant or classroom assistant, especially in SEN settings, is desirable.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Be flexible and resourceful, able to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each student.
