About the Role:
As a Team Leader, your primary responsibility will be to deliver compassionate and effective support and management to staff who are providing care to the children and young people residing in the Children's Home.
Our client operates Ofsted-registered homes, dedicated to providing high-quality, child-centered care in the community. They prioritize creating a sense of belonging and connection for children with diverse needs. Wherever possible, they work with local children to ensure stability in their lives, maintaining continuity in their education, friendships, hobbies, and relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Compliance:
- Act as a professional and positive role model, maintaining exemplary practice standards.
- Ensure rigorous adherence to individual care plans, regulatory guidelines (including Ofsted requirements), and the home's overall objectives.
- In the absence of the Registered Manager or Deputy Manager, assume supervisory responsibilities.
Operational and Administrative Support:
- Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date records for all aspects of service provision.
- Support the Registered Manager and/or Deputy Manager in implementing all elements of the Statement of Purpose.
- Assist the Deputy and Home Manager by managing team rotas and supporting various meetings and appointments.
- Execute any other reasonable tasks as directed by the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager.
Child Welfare and Environment:
- Meet the holistic needs of the Children and Young People in line with regulatory requirements.
- Actively foster a safe, family-like environment for all Children.
- Champion and welcome a diverse and inclusive culture within the home.
We're Looking For:
Successful applicants must be qualified to Level 3 and must have experience in children's residential care leadership.- Proven experience working directly with young people facing emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal (at meetings) and written (reports and accurate record-keeping).
- Strong organisational abilities and a methodical approach to following established procedures.
- Demonstrated capacity for effective team leadership and collaboration.
- Ability to work constructively with children, families, other professionals, and external agencies.
- A responsive and proactive approach to meeting the needs of young people.
- The resilience to maintain performance and effectiveness when working under pressure.
- A commitment to working towards agreed objectives.
