Team Manager - Child Protection & Court Team

We're seeking an Interim Team Manager to oversee a Child Protection & Court Team in the Sandwell area. You will be driving positive outcomes for children and families through strong leadership and a trauma informed approach.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and support a team of experienced social workers dealing with Child Protection, PLO, and Court proceedings
- Provide high-quality reflective supervision and promote best practice across the team
- Chair key meetings including strategy discussions and legal gateway panels
- Work collaboratively with partners including legal, health, education and police
- Monitor and manage performance, ensuring statutory timescales and practice standards are met
- Lead on quality assurance and improvement activity within the team
To be considered for the role, ideally you will have:
- SWE-registered qualified social worker
- Substantial post-qualifying experience in Child Protection and Court work
- Previous management or senior practitioner experience within children's statutory services
- Confident in managing complex risk, safeguarding and care planning processes
- Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills
