We're working with a local authority in Oldham who are looking for a Team Manager to join their Children in Our Care service. This is a maternity cover role (minimum 9 months, up to 12), offering the chance to develop within a supportive, structured service that values quality practice and reflective supervision.
You'll lead one of four stable and well-supported teams, made up of 5 Social Workers + 1 Advanced Practitioner, working with children and young people in care aged up to 18.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team supporting children in care aged 0-18
- Provide supervision, oversight, and quality assurance of care plans
- Work collaboratively with internal and external partners
- Support stability, permanence, and improved outcomes for children
- Contribute to service development and safeguarding best practice
To be considered for the role, ideally you will have:
- BSc Social Work or equivalent
- SWE registration
- Strong background in looked after children / permanence
- Previous experience as a Team Manager or Advanced Practitioner
- Confident decision-maker with a child-centred approach
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
