Team Manager - Family Safeguarding
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Team Manager - Family Safeguarding to lead and support a dynamic social work team delivering high-quality services to children and families.
In this pivotal role, you will manage the delivery of comprehensive family safeguarding services, including Child Protection (CP), Child in Need (CiN), and Court work, ensuring statutory responsibilities and departmental policies are fully met. You will play a key leadership role in promoting safe, effective, and child-focused practice across the service.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the provision of Family Safeguarding Social Work Services (CP / CiN / Court)
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and departmental policies
- Provide leadership, supervision, and support to social work staff
- Drive high standards of safeguarding practice and performance
- Oversee complex cases and decision-making processes
- Promote positive outcomes for children and families
To be considered for this role, ideally you will have:
- CQSW, DipSW, BA (Hons) Social Work, or equivalent recognised qualification
- Social Work England registration
- Minimum of 3 years' post-qualifying experience in a field social work setting
- Substantial Child Protection experience
- Strong leadership, management, and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage performance, risk, and service delivery
