If so, Randstad is recruiting for a Team Manager to join the Leicestershire County Council - Screening and Assessment Team.
This is a full-time role offering up to £45 per hour.
Here's the Role:
- Leading, managing, and supervising a team of social workers and support staff responsible for receiving and triaging new referrals and contacts concerning children's welfare.
- Ensuring timely and effective decision-making, applying robust thresholds consistently to determine appropriate next steps, including the progression to statutory assessment or signposting to early help and preventative services.
- Overseeing the quality of screening processes, initial information gathering, and risk assessments to ensure the immediate safety of children.
- Driving team performance, ensuring compliance with statutory duties, policies, and procedures, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and reflective practice.
- Fostering strong working relationships with multi-agency partners (including police, health, education, and other local authority teams) to ensure a coordinated and effective response to safeguarding concerns.
- Providing expert guidance and consultation to team members on complex cases and practice dilemmas.
- Managing team resources effectively and contributing to service development and improvement initiatives within the 'front door' service.
- Championing Leicestershire County Council's values, including a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, and the principles of our 'Achieving Excellence through Purposeful Practice' framework, which incorporates the Signs of Safety approach.egislation, policies, and procedures, with a commitment to best practice in child protection.

Requirements:
- Social Work England registered
- Social Work Degree or equivalent
- Enhanced DBS
Experience:
- Children's Social Work
