We're looking for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to lead our Support and Protect Team in Workington. If you're a passionate leader dedicated to safeguarding children and empowering your team, this is for you.
You'll ensure high-quality social work practice, provide robust oversight, and foster a supportive environment for your staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and supervise a team of social workers.
Provide regular, high-quality, and reflective supervision.
Allocate and oversee caseloads, ensuring timely interventions.
Ensure child-centred, evidence-based assessments and plans.
Chair team meetings and promote collaborative working.
Authorise key decisions, assessments, and plans.
Monitor team performance and identify improvements.
Manage complex and high-risk cases.
Act as an escalation point for complex issues.
Champion best practice in safeguarding and child protection.
Contribute to strategic service development.
Key Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker.
Social Work England registration is essential.
Updated Enhanced DBS required.
Significant post-qualifying experience in children's social care, with supervisory/management experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance.
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
