We are seeking dedicated and resilient Support Workers to join a new, complex adult care package in the Inverness area. This is a crucial role supporting a 19-year-old male who has recently transitioned to adult services. The current support arrangement is being restructured, and we require committed staff to provide consistent and high-quality care.
The Service and Support Needs
The individual has Autism, Complex Learning Disabilities, and XXY Syndrome (Klinefelter Syndrome). Due to the breakdown of the previous care package, challenging behaviour is very likely.
- Support Model: The core support model is 2:2:1 (two staff members during the day, two staff members overnight, and one staff member on sleepover duty).
- Key Training: PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression) training is currently being utilized, including the use of restraints.
- Essential Requirement: Candidates must either hold current PMVA certification or be willing and happy to undergo this intensive training immediately upon starting.
Working Hours and Rota
- Shift Pattern: The rota operates on an adult shift pattern, as detailed in the "Inverness 2-2-1 TLC" schedule.
- Day Shift: 1:1 support during the day.
- Waking Night (WN): 1:1 support during waking night shifts.
- Sleepover: Required as part of the support package.
Pay Rates (Umbrella)
- Day Rate-£22.00 per hour
- Waking Night (WN)-£24.00 per hour
- Sleepover-£95.00 per sleepover
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience in supporting individuals with challenging behaviours, Autism, and complex learning disabilities is highly desirable.
- Training: Must be PMVA trained or willing to be trained.
- Staff Profile: Suitable for both Male and Female staff.
- Driving: A full UK driving license is not mandatory, but candidates must ensure they have a reliable way to get to the location in Inverness for all scheduled shifts.
- Commitment: A strong commitment to providing compassionate, stable, and long-term support in a challenging but rewarding environment.
