The Role:
As a Trainee Teacher, you will embark on a rewarding journey, learning from experienced professionals and contributing to the delivery of high-quality education to our students. Working under the guidance of Qualified Teachers and the Head of Education, you will:
Assist in the planning and delivery of individualised learning programmes.
Support students in achieving their academic, social, and communication goals.
Implement strategies based on Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) principles to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviours.
Contribute to the development and implementation of Comprehensive Application of Behaviour Analysis to Schooling (CABAS) teaching methodologies, ensuring data-driven instruction and continuous progress monitoring.
Create a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists and other support staff.
Contribute to student assessments and progress reports.
Participate in regular training and professional development sessions.
What we are looking for:
A minimum of 6 months' experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ideally within a school or educational setting.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential due to our location and the need to support potential off-site activities.
A genuine passion for working with children and young people with autism.
An understanding of, or a strong willingness to learn, about Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and CABAS teaching methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
