• Providing teaching and support to autistic pupils based on their individual curriculum's.

• Planning and delivering lessons and activities to help pupils with their social and emotional development.

• Assisting pupils with personal care, such as toileting and feeding, and encouraging good personal and environmental hygiene.

• Taking part in breaktime duties and off-site activities with pupils.

• Contributing to the creation and maintenance of teaching materials.

• Participating in professional development and training to grow your knowledge of autism spectrum disorders.

We're Looking for Someone Who...

• Has professional, personal, or voluntary experience working with children and disabilities.

• Has a minimum Grade C/4 GCSE, or equivalent, in English Language & Maths.

• Is comfortable working with children who may exhibit challenging behaviour.

• Is able to support others with personal or intimate care when needed.

• Can remain calm in high-pressure situations.

• Is committed to ongoing professional development and training.

• Has a strong personal commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

• Is able to perform physically demanding tasks, such as twisting, stooping, and working at a lower height.

• Possesses a positive, can-do attitude.

An Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential.

This is a full-time position, working 36.75 hours per week. Part-time work is also considered (3 or 4 days, including Tuesday). The holiday allowance is 56 days plus bank holidays. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
