About the Role and the SchoolThis is an exciting opportunity to join an outstanding SEN school near Guildford, recognised by Ofsted for its excellence with children with autism. We are seeking outgoing and resilient individuals who may have experience working with children or young adults with challenging behaviour, or experience working with vulnerable children or in community care.
This role is the foundation for a career in SEN teaching, offering access to numerous fully funded training and qualification opportunities in SEN. You'll receive a fully funded and supported continuing personal development programme based on the principles of behaviour analysis.
What You'll Be DoingAs a key member of our team, your primary focus will be supporting our pupils' growth and development:
Working one-to-one with pupils in a small class setting to provide behavioural based instructions, helping them meet their full potential.
Supporting pupils with their social and emotional development through interaction and engagement.
Contributing to the production, organisation, and maintenance of individualised teaching materials.
Encouraging and assisting pupils to maintain acceptable levels of personal and environmental hygiene.
Supervising indoor/outdoor playtime and assisting in extra-curricular and off-site activities during school hours.
You will also have the opportunity to work alongside the occupational and speech and language therapy teams.
A £1000 bonus upon joining.
